A Campaign of Historic Proportions

With a population exceeding 101 million people as of April 2024, the budget for this nationwide campaign is substantial, estimated to be over VNĐ10 trillion (US$380 million). The Prime Minister's directive outlines a clear plan for the distribution of these funds, ensuring a smooth and secure process.

  • Distribution Channels: Gifts will be distributed nationwide via bank transfer or direct payment, with the goal of completing all transactions before September 2, 2025.

  • Key Agencies Involved: Several government bodies have been assigned specific roles to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of the funds.

    • Ministry of Finance: Responsible for budget allocation and managing state finances.

    • State Bank of Việt Nam: Tasked with ensuring smooth payment systems and an adequate cash supply.

    • Ministry of Public Security & Local People’s Committees: Key to ensuring the secure and accurate delivery of gifts, with no omissions or duplications.

Fostering a Festive Atmosphere

Beyond the financial aspect, the government has tasked key media and cultural agencies with promoting the initiative to foster a united and celebratory atmosphere. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, along with national broadcasters like Vietnam Television (VTV), the Voice of Vietnam (VOV), and the Vietnam News Agency (VNA), are coordinating communication efforts to highlight this nationwide benefit.
